Campsite by the Tarn River in Lozère

Enjoy a campsite with direct access to the Tarn River

Water and nature are an essential part of any holiday in Lozère!

At Camping Le Pont du Tarn in Florac, you can enjoy direct access to the Tarn River from the campsite, right in the heart of Cévennes.

With two natural swimming areas, sandy and pebbly beaches and plenty of shady spots along the riverbank, the Tarn is the perfect place to cool off, relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Depending on the season and the natural flow of the river, the Tarn shapes its beaches and swimming areas. Find your favourite spot, spread out your towel and enjoy a refreshing swim, play by the water with the children, go fishing or simply relax to the sound of the river.

A truly special setting for simple, unforgettable moments by the water.

Discover our two natural swimming areas on the Tarn

Close to the historic Pont du Tarn, a beautiful natural beach with sand and rocks is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.

The clear waters of the Tarn invite you to swim and cool off, while the river is also home to trout and many other freshwater species. Take the time to observe the river, enjoy the sunshine or simply sit by the water and appreciate the peaceful surroundings.

A natural swimming spot just a few steps from your pitch or accommodation.

At the other end of the campsite, you will discover another, greener and more shaded area beside the Tarn.

Surrounded by trees and vegetation, this peaceful spot is ideal for relaxing during the hottest hours of the day. A grassy area by the river is perfect for laying down a towel, reading or simply listening to the sound of the water and birds.

The shallow areas are particularly enjoyable for families with children, who can paddle and play in the water, while deeper sections of the river offer the opportunity for a refreshing swim.

Swimming in the heart of Cévennes

The Tarn is one of the treasures of the Cévennes and Lozère. From its source on Mont Lozère, the river winds its way through spectacular landscapes before reaching the famous Gorges du Tarn.

And it is far from the only place to enjoy the water!

Throughout Lozère, rivers such as the Tarn, Tarnon, Mimente, Jonte, Bramont, Lot and Truyère offer countless opportunities to discover natural swimming spots while exploring the region.

Whether you are hiking, sightseeing or simply enjoying a day out, there is always a river nearby where you can stop and cool down.

Our little tip: when exploring Lozère in summer, always keep your swimsuit close at hand!
